A cultural programme rooted in the tradition of the Greek symposium: residential gatherings where ideas, gastronomy, wine and artistic creation come together.

Four events a year, four faces of human experience, in the intimate setting of the château. Each season an artist takes over the house, its staircase and its vaulted cellars, and an evening of music opens the season around them. Art, music, food and wine share the same space, in a gathering built for attention rather than scale.

Four faces, one year

In the opening vision of Ezekiel, four living creatures stand at the centre of the storm, and each bears four faces: a man, a lion, an ox, an eagle. The seer of Patmos sees them again, encircling the throne. The early Church, following Irenaeus of Lyon, gave the figure a name, tétramorphe, one form with four faces, and bound the four creatures to the four gospels.
